Privacy Policy

Discogs Sentinel is a personal project built by nibbobbobbin. We take your privacy seriously and keep things simple: we only handle the information strictly necessary to run the alert service, and nothing else.

Information we handle

• Your email address — used only to log in to your account and send transactional emails (password reset, etc.).
• Your Discogs OAuth token — used exclusively to connect to the Discogs API on your behalf and send you alerts when new listings appear for your tracked releases.
• Your Telegram chat ID — only if you choose to enable Telegram notifications.
• Your notification preferences (polling interval, sound, language) — stored so the service works consistently across sessions.

We do not collect browsing data, sell any information, or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

Third-party services

• Discogs API — to fetch marketplace listing data on your behalf.
• Telegram Bot API — optional, only if you enable Telegram alerts.
• Brevo — transactional emails only (password reset, account notifications). No marketing.
• Supabase / PostgreSQL — database hosting for your account data.
• Hetzner — server hosting in Germany.

No Google Analytics. No tracking cookies. No advertising.

Cookies & local storage

We use a session cookie for authentication (NextAuth). We store two values in your browser's localStorage for UI preferences: your sound setting and a timestamp for the feedback prompt. No third-party cookies, no analytics, no tracking of any kind.

Data retention

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time — your account and all associated data will be permanently removed.
